Improving upon existing technology, the LMA Supreme has been introduced to the marketplace. The integrated drain tube allows fluids to channel away from the airway and the integrated bite block ensures airway integrity if the patient bites down.

You know what, I’m very much iclnined to agree.
The LMA Supreme is the only LMA we use in our 8 CRNA practice and has been for approximately 5 years. Ease of insertion and the gastric port are the primary reason. It costs more but it has eliminated the need to keep Proseals and other LMA products in our department, except for the LMA Fast Trach. The only improvement I would suggest would be the ability to intubate through it, then we would not need the Fast Trach.
